Update (s):
8-13-26 Maple Bar is due in the next few days. I've started monitoring her temperature
and a normal canine's temperature is 101.5. When a pregnant moms temp drops below 100
for 24 hours, labor is eminent within 24 hours. Yesterday I had an x-ray to help
determine how many pups are there. Below are those images and the first shows
her looking plump at home. What to look for is connecting a skull with the spine (aka
zipper they call it). Anyone is welcomed to send me a text with their guess. Some
prior updates have been deleted.
8-5-26 Maple Bar is looking quite plump. An x-ray is scheduled on the 16th.
7-20-26 Maple Bar's puppies (assuming she did get pregnant) would be due about August 21. As
that draws near, more information will be available here.
7-7-26 Liberty came into season a few days ago but since she had a litter earlier this
year, she is having a season off.
6-22-26 Maple Bar was bred on Friday the 20th. Her puppies would be due (human moms
are always very envious) in 9 weeks at about August 21st. After birth, families waiting
for a puppy may begin visiting them at 4 weeks. Some prior updates have been removed.
6-16-26 Maple Bar has had 4 progesterone test thus far and her numbers are now moving.
I suspect she will be bred on Thursday by semen shippped overnight (out of state) to my vets office
for a surgical insemination on Thursday morning.
Adoption Fee:
The adoption fee is $2,900 (plus Washington State Sales Tax) less a $500
deposit (sent with the questionnaire below), that has families making their
puppy pick at 7 weeks and the puppies go home on the 8th week. Zelle is
available for any payment to the phone number below.
Time Frame and Deposits Submitted:
Typically there are 5-10 puppies in a litter. The families shown below will be
choosing based on the date of their deposit. Once a deposit is placed, the
owner has the option of the current litter, or to wait for the next litter.
(If identified, their preference of sex, size and coloring is shown and this
helps us choose the appropriate sire.)

Managing the List:
In the event a litter is larger than anticipated, or if a family needs to rollover,
those lower on the list will be contacted to determine their interest.
If someone does rollover, they will be placed on the list numerically, based on
the date of their deposit and in the next litter they must choose a pup or forfeit
their deposit. If anyone can think of something more fair, please advise.

Visiting Processes:
Prior to a family making the selection of their pup on the 7th week, they may start visiting
them at 4 weeks and weekly thereafter. Before puppies are born, prospective owners may come
to the house and meet us, see where the pups will be raised, and ask any questions. We are
in Burien in the Seahurst neighborhood. After the puppies go home and since they should not
be around other dogs until they are fully vaccinated, we offer playdays every two weeks until
they are 4 months old. This gives the owners a chance to talk and the puppies to play in a
safe enviroment. Annually, (in the summertime) there is a reunion that families are welcomed
to come back for.
We thought this was funny...There is a series of 3 photos that we put in a loop. Notice the basket getting further away from the wall then a puppy coming up the back bumps her off.
